Quiet Pool is a prototype of a confidential, no-loss prize-savings vault, built for a Zama developer-programme bounty. In a no-loss prize-savings scheme, depositors can withdraw their principal and the prize is funded separately. Here a sponsor funds the prize pool, and a draw weighted by each depositor’s principal picks the winner.

The vault uses Zama’s FHEVM, which lets a smart contract compute on encrypted values using fully homomorphic encryption (FHE). Individual balances, the prize pool, and the winner’s position in the draw stay encrypted; the winner is revealed only through a public decryption that comes with a verifiable proof. The web app ran on the Sepolia test network with a demo-token faucet and covered deposit, prize funding, balance reveal, the draw, finalisation, claim, and withdrawal.

Privacy does not make the mechanism simpler. It changes what depositors need to understand, what the system needs to prove, and how much caution belongs in the presentation.

Current boundary

Quiet Pool is a testnet and research exploration, and the demo is capped at 64 participants. It is not financial advice, a recommendation to use real funds, or a production-ready protocol. It has not been represented here as security-audited; independent security review would be required before any real-world use.
